The Rev. Tom Egger, professor at Concordia Seminary, will be the guest preacher the next two Sundays, July 16 and 23.

Old Testament class: Thursday, July 20, 10:00 a.m., on Hosea.

Council meeting: Thursday, July 20, 11:30 a.m.

Youth catechesis: Thursday, July 20, 1:00 p.m., in Park Hills.

Voters’ meeting/ potluck/ game day: Sunday, July 30, 10:15 a.m.

“Every One His Witness” workshop: Saturday, August 19, 8:30-3:30 (includes lunch). We will host a pilot workshop for the Synod’s new evangelism program, “Every One His Witness.” Please mark your calendars and arrange to be here. It will be important, helpful, and fun for many of our members to attend. We will also invite people from other congregations in our circuit. The Synod’s Office of National Mission will supply the materials, so we want to get a headcount beforehand, to get the right amount.

The “Every One His Witness” workshop is designed to equip individual believers to be more effective witnesses of Jesus in their everyday lives. It draws on God’s Word and the Lutheran Confessions to build a solid foundation for bearing witness of Jesus and provides practical resources for sharing the simple Gospel in today’s complex world. Learn how to LASSIE: Listen, Ask, Seek, Share, Invite, Encourage!
